We bring you the good news about coffee makers!

Mario Idrovo , one of the founders of Huma Coffee , announced through his Instagram account that he will be participating in one of the educational programs offered by The Specialty Coffee Association, the membership-based organization that represents thousands of coffee professionals, from producers to baristas, around the world. The SCA acts as a unifying force within the specialty coffee industry and works to improve coffee by raising standards worldwide.
Once he completes his training, Mario stated that he will be able to train and award SCA certification to future baristas from Ecuador and around the world, becoming the only barista and coffee professional in the country to be part of this renowned program.
My Coffee School
His training in countries like Australia and Italy, and his more than 10 years of experience in the coffee industry, have made Mario Idrovo one of the pioneers in our country in the work of educating and teaching about quality and specialty coffee. His barista school and coffee laboratory, "Mi Escuela de Café," opened three years ago in Guayaquil and currently also based in Quito, has trained hundreds of students of all ages and from all over Ecuador.
This new goal for Mario Idrovo is not only a step forward in his professional life, but also for all future coffee professionals in Ecuador and Latin America. It's another step that contributes to growth and strengthens the culture of appreciation, love, and respect for Ecuadorian coffee. We wish Barista Mario every success!
