What do you need ?

STEP 1
Use a clean, dry towel to clean your portafilter of coffee residue.

Set your scale to zero, then grind and
weighs between 7 and 10 g per shot.

STEP 3
Evenly distributes your coffee throughout the portafilter.

STEP 4
Tap using light force until you feel
resistance. The goal when tapping
is to leave the coffee bed uniform and straight.

STEP 5
Turn on the group to rinse the shower,
then place the portafilter and extract your shot.

STEP 6
Place a scale under your cup and start the timer.
at the moment you take the shot. Aim to get between
2 and 3 times the weight you had in ground coffee for your
espresso. It usually comes out balanced if at all.
